Beach Day

Got greeted by this little bugger this morning as I went to pack the car. The place where we were staying seems to have been covered in these as I spotted another one while packing, and another two at the local beach. Weird that I only saw them now.

So, that condition I had yesterday about going in the water if there's sun. Well, there was sun today. Which meant that we started wading through the water, and as some of us got carried away, may have started swimming in it. They claim not to have actually just dived into it, but their hair was dripping, and the car needed to be lined with towels afterwards.

But the beach certainly provided a lot of other action as well. People surfing, birds bombing. Towards the evening you could watch the sparrows chasing the insects. And at night, you could still see the waves glistening to the near full moon.

(Yes, I saturated the below picture, and yes, I desaturated every colour but blue. But the latter was more to check whether there actually was any other colour in the picture. The answer was: No, the picture literally just has blue).

The seven mile beach looks a bit overrated though. It was a bit hazy, so a little hard to appreciate it for it's full glory. And then it also started raining which meant that walking was cut a little short.

Tomorrow it's the rest of us which have to endure the scary story back home where work is waiting eagerly for me to show my face. In some ways, I should probably regard that as a good way of recovering my finances and start making plans for the next trip.

The camera for the trip is starting to grow on me. The buttons slowly start to make sense, and the picture quality is quite nice. A different version of the above picture was a little hilarious considering that I exposed it normal, and got a picture that looked like it was shot in the middle of the day. The sky was light blue, the sand was it's normal light-brown colour. The only thing which was wrong was the fact that there was something on the horizon (a boat light) which seemed to be brighter than the sun.
