East Coast
It's important to put which coast we are travelling to into the title as one of our travel companions seems to have constant trouble remembering which direction we are going. And then worries whether we are teasing her by saying that we are travelling south. She was very happy when our motel had a map which she could trace our route on. And she did eventually agree that we weren't pulling her leg with south.
Our original plan was actually also only to travel to Bega, but people failed to respond to our booking request so we were forced to book a Motel in Eden instead. Apparently Motels are only used by escaping criminals and our next door neighbours are therefore either drug smuggelers or mass murderers. My travel companions are weird, but at least the neighbours are both quiet and not oozing blood under our door.
Our 3 hour car trip turned into something resembling a 7 hour car trip, by going along the coast as opposed to cutting inland, taking random detours and arranging plane tickets to Perth due to a lack of west facing sunset beaches along the east coast. And while one of us dared to reach a toe into the ocean, none of us were brave enough to tackle the spring temperatures of the ocean. Though lots of heavy complaining about the heat above the water could be heard.
Also, while we are fairly close to full moon at the moment, it seems to be buggering off to the other side of the planet at the moment giving us a beautiful night sky. Yet no one brought a matching camera.
Tomorrow will hopefully give us a brief chance to look at Eden before heading back towards home. And we hope that the kangaroo's keep giving our car a wide berth. The car is an automatic and therefore has enough problems to be getting along with.
