Ever changing landscape

Today counts as another long driving day. This time we moderated ourselves a little bit more with the rest stops though and did not end up having to drive the second half through the night. But we did get to enjoy the front row view of the rolling hills as still seen in Andorra, the jagged hills as seen from the Spanish side, the vineyards, the flat plains, the desert country ... we seemed to have a bit of all on the 7-ish hours drive.

The few people who we have been in contact with at our destination have been very enthusiastic about their job. Not allowing us to leave check-in before we got a map with some scribbles of where to walk from here, where to eat, and where not to bother attempting to shop because it's too touristy and expensive. The waiter at the restaurent made recommendations of "food to die for", and could at the same time make ordering a Fanta sound like an exquisit choice.

The elevator for our room on the other hand is not the elevator directly next to reception. That's the elevator for the pool. The elevator to our room is two right turns, up some stairs, and another two left turns. And then once the elevator has taken us to the correct floor, it is still another maze of left and right turns, including some more random stairs halfway. The view is also not exactly to die for considering that it's the view of a light / ventilation shaft. As opposed to Barcellona though, this place is basically directly next to a metro station and the window can shut. We'll ignore that the bathroom door requires two people to slide open and close.

Tomorrow we need to actually plan for where to go within the city rather than just change countries every 24 hours. More guides to read. More pins to place on maps. More sleep to be had. Zzz
