/ Japan

From dawn till dusk. By car, plane, and train.

3 hours of driving, 10 hours of flying, 4 hours of train(ing?), and 5 hours of miscellaneous cuing/waiting/walking later, and Washinoko has finally earnt himself a view from the 22nd floor of the Hotel.

Touching down, we are immediately greeted by rows of planes, as well as one landing through the rainbow. And the lack of air humidity from the plane finally got exchanged for a lack of heating.

Narita

The seats on the plane had themselves an advantage and a disadvantage. Being in the first row after an exit, the seats had plenty of leg space. But for window seats, there wasn't much of a window to speak of. Full brownie points to the pilot though, that was one of the smoothest flights and landings I've had the pleasure to experience.

Leaving Narita, somewhat came the realisation that it's 19:00, the train system shuts down at midnight, and we still have a four hour train trip to go. So while we might have left in a hurry of walking from one end of Tokyo station to the other, Tokyo is still on the list for later during the Japan adventure. At least the train kept in the spirit of our hurrying, primarily going at around 260km/h.

But everything was survived. Now where did I keep that pillow ...
