Garden of Eden

Oh holidays, it has been too long my friend. And step one of the holidays appears to have been refusing to get out of bed before noon meaning that we also left correspondingly late. What we also left without was a destination, or a plan, besides head towards big puddle of water.

Once that was managed, we kept on driving in the hope of enjoying our holidays by getting slightly further out of town than usual. Which basically meant that we just kept going until we ran out of light.

The kangaroos gave us some entertainment, including having decoys. Had one of them sitting squarely in the middle of the road as we approached over a crest, drawing the attention of our eyes, as another one shot out of the bushes and ran right before us.
While we personally managed to refrain from contributing to the wild life fatality rate, the number of Wombats lying next to the road with all paws sticking in the air, was shocking. I lost track after 20, and that seemed to be over only a 2km stretch of road.

Having run out of light, we had a brief look at the local accomodation, decided we weren't that rich, found the next place on the map, drove till we found reception, booked something, and found our bed.

From there, a brief night excursion let us confirm that it is indeed full moon tonight. I'm sure it will look after us as we go to bed.
