Great Barrier Reef
Every holiday needs a sick day right? Well, that was for me today. Not because I had caught something, but the wind had a little too much fun with the waves.
The boat had half the passengers breathing into little white bags, some of which even managed to hit the inside of the bag upon rainbow production. As a consequence, when it was time to jump into the water, I was already so drained that swimming was near impossible. I got a brief glimpse of the Reef before I had to throw in the exhaustion sock.
Whilst trying to get out, I ended up with a blanket wrapped around me as I seemed to be worrying the staff a bit. With the additional warmth, the only thing left of my mind was to try and sleep through the rest of the trip, all the way back to steady land before having to go on another great white bag hunt.
For my brief moment though, the Reef was beautiful. I've never seen marine wildlife like that, with the gorgeous background textures. Some of us even got to see a Shark! Highly recommendable, but not for those without an Iron stomach in case the wind has another field day.
