Great Ocean Road
After the glorious achievement of actually getting all seven uni students out of bed, the great ocean road was tackled. It's still overcast, and the roads were slightly damp, but they didn't manage to change the ocean from being blue and wet.
A lot of memories come back about this road, from when I drove down it only six months ago. All of them odd little details I couldn't recall at the beginning of the day, and you slowly start to remember how much fun it was to travel here. But as you visit the same 7 tourist attractions as last time, you also realise that the great ocean road doesn't have a lot of revisit value. Especially when viewing it squeezed between 300 other tourists. Not even the pictures change considering that the weather looks identical to what we experienced 6 months ago, and we haven't lost an apostle in the last six months.
My travel companions are on the Chinese side this time, and the they certainly didn't stand out on the above beach. In fact, they looked around and then approached me with: "Welcome to China!" The odd western looking person was there, but required more effort to spot than in a city like Shanghai. Australia is weird. Though it is currently summer holidays for the Northern Hemisphere.
This basically concludes this mini adventure. Tomorrow will be a long drive back from beyond Melbourne back to home. I live in hope that someone didn't forget the rockets so that we can have a few land speed record attempts on the way home.
