Jumping Fish
Well, after checking three different forecast sources, they all concluded that it was going to rain in the afternoon. Our existing outdoor plans therefore got cancelled, and we went for something which involved less getting drenched. Like, going to an aquarium.
When seeing pictures online of the aquarium in Shinagawa, you think that the underwater tunnel must have been shot with something like a fisheye as these tunnels are never that big. In this case however, we were proven wrong, they built a massive tunnel to observe the tank from underneath.
The entire aquarium seems to have been designed with a mixed bag, having space in some places for an indoor pirate ship ride, yet having a claustrophobic narrow corridor right afterwards.
Cool though, was the dolphin show. After watching the show over the heads of the other visitors, we immediately took the seats and waited the hour for the next show, this time with good seats. We then even watched it a third time after going through the rest of the aquarium and the next show being just about to start. The result: I completely filled a 16GB memory card with dolphins. And then I started on the next card.
But I certainly can recommend. Fancy show. I think the pictures will speak for themselves here. And it was cute with what care they also look after the dolphins between shows.
By the time we got out of the Aquarium, the promised rain had reached its desired momentum. I guess Tokyo wanted to give me at least one more chance for testing out my new umbrella. And I was of the opinion that the first test was perfectly sufficient. At least our next destination promises to be nice and warm with no rain (at least, in the immediate future).
