Melbourne in the light
Looking out the window in the morning was rather unmotivational and as such we thought the sun deserved a bit of a head start that morning to try and make the city a little warmer. And it didn't do too shabby a job. Being outside was in fact survivable.
We ran into a couple of events running today by pure accident, including ComicCon, where I tried to recognise as many different anime series as I could but did miserably. Though the character below I believe to be from Bamboo Blade.
And we found a Viewmaster exhibition in a library. For those of you several decades to young for this, the Viewmaster were really cheap slide viewers similar to Google cardboard, which worked with static slides (one slide per eye) on a little wheel that you could watch a little story off. The name however was rather fake advertisement as there was not a single Viewmaster to be seen. My travel partner left very disappointed. The library was a kind of interesting though considering that it had a ping ping room directly above the quiet study area.
We tried for the third time to go to the historical car museum and finally found that they don't have done weird temporary closure like the last two times. They also aren't open on Sundays so this didn't exactly help.
We actually hope to be here for another night and hope to warm ourselves on the flamethrowers outside the casino tomorrow. We should also be joined by another travel partner who will join us back to home. But other than that, today was basically just holiday enjoyment and relaxation.
