Not Rain but Wind

If you would like to build a museum for different styles of Ramen, by building a small network of back alleys (the place where Ramen shops are naturally born), where in a place as full as Yokohama can you place such a thing? Well, underground. A miniature suburb with 10 different Ramen shops on miniature back alleys, and under a painted blue ceiling for a sky. The suburb was partly completed with a boy in blue standing in the middle of it all. Except that on top of his keyring and baton, he also kept a blackboard with waiting times for the queues of all the shops.

What was partly more surprising though was that there was also a Ramen shop flying a French flag, and one with a German flag. What these countries have to do with Ramen though, I still don't know.

The weather finally somewhat listened to us in terms of quitting with all the damn rain. It even have us sunshine. And then it gave as enough wind to sail once around the world. So the overall temperature didn't really increase but we continue to hope that it is at least moving in the right direction.

We attempted to visit a seaside park with roller coaster, an aquarium, and some nice lawns. I'm sure the whole thing is really busy in the peak season, but today the whole thing seemed a little dead, and it was just depressing watching the whales and dolphins in the tiny pools. In the end it was the freezing wind which put the final nail in the coffin and chased us back to Yokohama to enjoy the seaside from there. Though not before the birds showed us how it's done.

Which was really nice. Yokohama provides a beautiful skyline, with the sun setting nicely behind it all. And then you can also choose whether you want to include a brightly illuminated ferris wheel in your pictures or not. The tripod certainly came in useful.
