Final Odaiba (again)

Things are slowing down. We've been here for 2.5 weeks but it's time to start thinking about heading home again. And any last things that we would want to do. The forecast for Fuji-san unfortunately still looked bleak, hiding in the clouds from all angles of the various 24-hour live streams. So we elected to relax in Tokyo instead, visiting the Shinjuku garden.

And of course this means the traditional Odaiba visit the evening before I go. Enjoying the sunset. It's such a pretty view.

Otherwise we're just trying to make sure we soak in as much of Japan as we can. The trains, the warmth (actually, this one might only be me), the noises, the lights. I've had a lot of requests made to me about the various things I can help bring back for my travel companions. Including a train from 1960, a modern taxi, and a bathroom. I assume they ask me because they realise that they've already maxed out their own luggage allowance on who knows what more.

Torrow there's still a half day to wrap things up. But that will require dealing with luggage, and endless queues to get on an overnight box with little appreciation for the horizontal requirements of sleep. sigh.
