Relaxing Rides

Now that it's finally a week day, we had to take care of something very important. I got a wet suit. For the sole purpose of not freezing to death on the Tour that we had booked for Wednesday. I've discovered two important things about them.

  1. They are impossible to get in and out of.
  2. You are really really warm after trying to get in and out of one.

Let's hope the same applies for when I'm in the water.

And the sun finally decided to make it's appearance today. The forecast wasn't hopeful but the sun certainly shone with a bright blue sky. It's finally even starting to look like a holiday!

So we took the fairly long Skyrail and enjoyed some views of lots of trees (without anything like a photogenic structure), a lookout of the same waterfall that we drove to yesterday, and took a train that seemed to top out at 20km/h. Of all of those, the train was the most relaxing for me, just because I could watch the scenery go by (provided you could ignore the announcements of what you were supposed to look at next).

For some of our travel companions, the train was torture though because they thought it would only take half an hour, and their stomachs complained noisily when this was not the case. Upon arrival at our starting point, Fish and Chips became the cure all before my arm got bitten off.

Tomorrow, I need to try whether this wet suit is worth a damn.
