Teenagers and Control of the Sound System

So, the condition for getting into the water was: "If there's sunlight". On the drive to the beach we got spots of sunlight, but on arrival we were greeted by a pretty solid looking cloud layer. As one of my friends would be only too eager to explain, 'if' does not mean that if the requirement is not met, that the result cannot happen. So they jumped in the water anyway. Ironically, the sun came out just after they got fed up with the temperature and we were walking back.

But the reservation for the restaurant was kept, and it was certainly interesting. You basically get a really hot stone, and a raw chunk of meat, and then get to cook it to your personal taste. The sheer heat capacity of the stone gives you a very nice consistent frying surface, but since it's also hard to turn down, you have to consume it at roughly the same speed that it is frying on the stone.

On the way back, one of us decided that a Karaoke session was required, preferably at full volume, and preferably with some high class music like Lady Gaga. The person on the passenger seat may have not been in full agreement with quite a few of those requirements, and was in definite disagreement with being shaken to the music in an attempt to be included. But at least in our attempt to not stop driving and therefore not stop the music, we did end up on a mountain overlooking Wollongong.

Tomorrow, some of us already have to start heading back to our lives, but I'll hopefully get to spend another day before having to face that. As every Australian will surely tell you: "More beach is More good".
