Höllental (Hell's Valley)

After the weather forecast keeps on promising that tomorrow it will rain, it still hasn't really happened. I mean, it's a nice trend, but somehow I get the feeling that we will certainly be in for rain before too long.

But for today, this means that we drove through Hell's Valley, in order to go for a little hike. While spring hasn't been providing a lot of warmth right now, some of the trees still appear to have been taking note and are very busy at making the countryside as green as possible. As one person in the current travel group said: "If I was a cow, I would be so happy right now."

The hike provided plenty of water, mud, steep hills and slippery slopes, with the occasional patch of sunshine and a temperature that was actually survivable, but only while moving. The caffee afterwards was warm while drinking hot chocolates, but funilly enough also had blankets hanging over the chairs for the customers.

On the way back we also went past Freiburg, which had along a lot of the inner streets water canals running in the street. Not very deep, but wide enough that if you're not paying attention, that you'll spontaneously end up with a wet foot. But the cathedral had a nice view.
