Wet Socks and Heavy Luggage

Today was a bit less of an exciting day. It was raining, which was a good start. And we were changing venues. Unfortunately, there was only a half hour train ride between the two venues, and a four hour gap between check-in and check-out. After not being able to find any coin lockers for our luggage, it was a little painful to do anything. We managed to get some Ramen, and some more cash, and then slowly pondered to sought out the train.

The marker for the next place was a little confusingly placed, and the big sign that was supposed to be at the door was … well … not there. The coming darkness and the rain also didn’t help in any of this. But we finally have Tatami! At least, in one bedroom. Which now needs to be rationed out.

At this point, I realised that I had not yet actually taken a single picture yet. And that I didn’t really have any blog worth material yet. At which point Washinoko started posing in front of Tatami.

We’re fairly close to Kyoto station, which as described two years ago, still looks ready for a space ship, and the stair case screen is still fascinating. The train station also had food available, though we started noticing that places already started closing when we got there. The rain should stop tomorrow which should motivate me a little bit more again to go out and enjoy the city, without wet socks or heavy luggage.
